| К началу Первой мировой войны судно не было закончено. Немецкий императорский флот реквизировал судно с целью закончить его как вспомогательный крейсер. 6 февраля 1915 г. судно вошло в строй как SMS Vineta. В 1921 г. судно вернулось к первоначалаьному владельцу — Hamburg Süd. В июне 1935 г. судно пришло в Бремерхафен на разделку.
